Protecting borrower information
GoodLoan security and fraud prevention centre
GoodLoan applications involve sensitive identity, income and banking information. Our security approach combines verification, access controls, careful document handling and customer awareness.
Identity verification
GoodLoan uses identity-verification processes designed to confirm that an applicant is a real person and matches the identity documents submitted. Checks may include document validation, liveness, face matching, device or fraud indicators, address verification and legally required screening.
Passing identity verification does not mean a loan is approved. Verification and underwriting are separate.
How GoodLoan handles documents
- Submit documents only through approved GoodLoan channels
- GoodLoan limits access based on staff roles and business needs
- Avoid public document links when sharing borrower records
- GoodLoan keeps information only for legitimate purposes and applicable obligations
- GoodLoan reviews third-party providers for suitable safeguards and contract controls
No online system can promise absolute security. However, GoodLoan uses processes designed to reduce risk and respond to suspected incidents.
Encryption and account protection
GoodLoan uses or intends to use encrypted connections for supported website and portal communications, authenticated access, restricted administrative permissions, logging and secure hosting controls. Customers should use a unique password, protect their email account and never share one-time login codes.
Fraud-prevention measures
Application checks
Identity, document, device, banking and consistency checks may be used to detect impersonation or altered information.
Account monitoring
Suspicious access or changes may trigger additional verification or a temporary restriction.
Human review
Applications or payments may be reviewed when automated checks identify uncertainty or elevated risk.

Report suspected fraud
Stop communicating through the suspicious message, do not click additional links and contact GoodLoan at goodloan.ca@gmail.com or (437) 524-6683. Include the sender, date, message and any transaction information, but do not forward passwords or codes.
